Why should I buy a soft floor camper trailer rather than a hard floor version or a larger camper van or caravan?

Our Australian made soft floor camper trailers provide an excellent camping & travel option & range in price from about $8,500 to $18,000. Many people only use their camper trailers for a few weeks each year and consciously choose to keep the capital cost as low as possible.

How long does it take to erect the tent?

This is the aspect of our camper trailers that most surprises customers. It can take as little as 5 minutes to erect & about 10 minutes to fold it away again.

Can I get a bigger/smaller tent?

Ozzie Off-Road has a range of 3 standard tent sizes but we also will custom build to your requirements.

I only have a 4 cylinder car. Can I still tow a camper trailer or do I need a 4WD?

Your camper trailer will weigh between 400kg and 650kg depending on the model. This is generally much lighter than a caravan or a horse float and can be towed comfortably behind most vehicles.

Do I need a special towbar on my car?

Generally speaking, no but we suggest that you speak to your local dealer or check your owner’s manual for further details.

I want to go out- back, will the camper trailer handle gravel and deteriorated roads?

We will help you choose the correct model for your particular application. Some of our trailers are designed specifically for country & outback roads and some for 4WD enthusiasts.

We’ve only got a family car & we don’t want to go off-road and don’t want to pay for features we don’t need. Is this possible?

There’s no need to pay for an off-road camper trailer when you don’t need one. We will help you make sure you choose the right camper for your vehicle & needs.

Do I need a special licence to tow a camper trailer or caravan?

No. In Australia, if you have a driver’s license then you can tow a caravan. The caravan needs to be registered of course. For more information check with your state’s licensing authority.

Can I have my own camper trailer made to my own specifications?

Yes! Ozzie Off Road specialise in customising your trailer to suit your specific needs – just let us know what you want and we can arrange to build it into your new camper trailer.

Do I get to choose the colour of the trailer and the tent?

Yes. We have a range of colours to choose from.

What is the difference (and importance) between the axle sizes?

For the most part we use 3 different axle types which suit the likely uses of the various models.

Will you show us how to set up the camper trailer, tent or caravan?

Yes, of course. That’s the part of the job we love the most! We’ll show you the best ways to get the most from your Ozzie Off Road camper trailer or caravan.

Do you deliver anywhere in Australia?

Yes, of course. There is an additional freight cost, please enquire here for an estimate.

Do you have finance available?

With your approval, we will arrange for our finance broker to contact you. Usually, finance can be finalised within about 24 hours.

How long after I order my camper trailer before I receive it?

This depends on if you’ve ordered one in stock (we try and keep stock of every single model), or whether we have to custom build. If the camper trailer or caravan is in stock, then just hitch it up!

Custom built trailers take approximately five- (5) weeks to complete.

How do I look after the camper trailer?

Excellent question! On delivery, we will give you a comprehensive checklist of user care information.
